Here’s how to embed a YouTube Video on your WordPress Site without the help of any fancy plugin.
The first thing to do is find the video on YouTube. When you do click “Share” then “embed” Notice you can choose the size of your video or create your custom size. Be careful not to choose a size too big for your post area. If you do it will flow over.
Select the code and go to your page or post creation page on WordPress. You also have the option to paste this code into a text box in a widget, but again make sure the video is small enough for your sidebar if you do.
Click on the HTML tab and paste the code where you want it to be.
Save or publish. View or preview it.
